Over a thousand years ago, Celestia and Luna discovered the Tree of Harmony and took the Elements from it to defeat Discord. In the digital series of the Equestria Girls franchise, she serves as the tritagonist of Forgotten Friendship. She was the mentor and idol of Twilight Sparkle, whom she addressed as her faithful student.
